Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions for an agreement between 'you' the dog owner and 'we' the service provider trading as 'houndhaus'. If you make a booking, then you accept these terms.

An enquiry does not constitute a booking. Your booking is not valid until we receive payment of the deposit (see pricing)

New dogs will require a free meet and greet prior to their stay with houndhaus. If this results in either party cancelling the booking within 24 hours, the deposit is refunded. After this time, the deposit is no longer refundable.

Full remaining payment is due 14 days prior to your stay. If you cancel your booking less than 1 week before your dogs stay, houndhaus reserve the right to keep your full payment.

The receipt of a cancellation request must be acknowledged and recorded by you and houndhaus. An email that is not responded to does not constitue acknowledgment.

The cancellation of your booking for any reason does not entitle you to a refund if we are able to provide our service. We recommend ensuring you have taken out suitable insurance to cover this.

You agree to provide full information about your dog(s).

All dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations, worming, tick and flea treatments.

All dogs must be microchipped and number detailed to houndhaus.

We are unable to accept dogs with aggression problems towards other dogs or people and subject to the terms of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.

We are happy to accept bookings for unspayed bitches, however if you believe your dog is due into season during her board you must inform us at the time of booking.

We are happy to accept male dogs that have not been castrated providing they are not aggressive towards other dogs.

If your dog causes damage to the houndhaus home or houndhaus belongings, other than reasonable wear and tear, you agree to reimburse any reasonable cost incurred.

If you collect your dog before the confirmed end date of the board you will not receive a refund.

We reserve the right to move your dog to a kennel at your additional expense if it becomes violent and uncontrollable.

You must supply a valid UK based emergency contact if you are overseas.

We reserve to use any vet we see fit in the event of medial attention being required. We will try and use your preference.

In the event of the need of a vet, you are responsible for payment of any veterinary fees incurred upon your return. We recommend that your dog is fully insured for sickness, accident, injury and we recommend you also have third party liability prior to your dog staying with us.

You must indicate if we are able to allow your dog off-lead when out in public where beneficial to your dog. You accept responsibility for any third party liability.

We treat your pet as if it is ours at all times and give exceptional care. houndhaus cannot be liable for loss, injury or death of your dog.

Photos/Video taken of your dog remain the property of houndhaus. We reserve the right to use these on the website and social media unless you indicate otherwise.
