A little about us
Hello! We are Jules and Steve, West Bridgford residents for over 20 years. Together with our daughter, we raised and cared for Dexter, a loveable working cocker spaniel for 14 years. Always active, he struggled towards the end of his life with complex medical needs. As a family we worked hard to make sure he could still live his best life.
After 14 years we lost Dexter. We had a huge hole in our hearts to fill and knew we wanted to do something that involved dogs.
As we would often find it difficult to secure home boarding that met our requirements, we decided to draw upon our experience, expertise and love of dogs to create houndhaus.
We now offer West Bridgford a family home dog boarding service that we always wanted.
It's a service that we think you'll love and it allows us to continue to welcome and love dogs in our home!

Hi, I'm Jules and I love dogs! I've always had animals since I was very young including Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Guinnea pigs, Hamsters Mice and Fish. We currently have 4 wild Hedgehogs that visit us every night, but Dogs were and will remain my first love.
I have worked for a local software company for over 23 years. 14 years ago I decided to go part time so I could get a dog. I realise I was very lucky to be able to do this and we were blessed to have Dexter enter our lives.
Dexter was our furry baby. My daughter was born 4 years later. I have loved watching her grow up with Dexter and we have had some amazing adventures as a family of 4.
Steve
Hi, I'm Steve. I love walking and running with dogs. I've had the pleasure of sharing many adventures with Dexter, our working cocker spaniel. As a family we love exploring West Bridgford, further afield in the Peak district, and and when we can, Cornwall, our favourite place.
If not out dog walking, then you'll find me running or mountain biking. I also love mobile photography and will be keen to get a snap of your dog that catches their personality on any adventures we share.
I have 15 years experience with dogs, and have recently passed my Canine First Aid Level 2 (VTQ) certification (achieving 100% pass score). I am also a certified level 1 FA football coach and DBS checked.
